I’m David, a Brighton-based photographer specialising in live music, portraits, and artist-led visuals.
My work focuses on capturing the feeling of a moment. Over the past 2+ years, I’ve photographed festivals, venues, and artists across Brighton and beyond, working closely with musicians, promoters, and creatives to create images that feel honest, cinematic, and alive.
In live settings, I’m known for using practical, in-camera techniques — from prisms and guitar slides to improvised DIY tools — to create bold, distinctive visuals straight out of the camera. These aren’t effects for the sake of it; they’re used intentionally to enhance the atmosphere and energy of the performance.
Outside the stage, I collaborate on portraits and press shots that reflect who someone actually is, not just how they’re expected to look. Every shoot is approached as a collaboration, not a template.
My aim is simple: to create photographs that don’t just document a moment, but make you feel like you were there.
If you’re looking for a photographer who understands music, movement, and identity — and cares as much about the final image as you do — let’s work together.
